Fuhh! In less than a week, my damages for new clothings has reached 1.4k RM. Not that much of a high figure if you ask me. It was such a bargain! H&M is <3! Bought a new leather jacket which I <3 so much from Topshop, got a few tops in Peacock London (It was buy 1 free 1, such a killer deal!), 2 pairs of shoes from New Look! =))

We celebrated Sheila's birthday today. Took massive loads of pictures. Its the 1st time since the beginning of the semester that I actually wore make up to class. I was surprised at the amounts of comments I received regarding my dress up for today. I'm waiting for them pictures and when I get them, it's blogging time babeh!

Till then, enjoy my last remaining year in Moscow, Pray I don't get killed in a fire, and...study smart!

Fire

I was sleeping soundly at 5am when I was rudely awakened by the loud noise of someone banging the door. It sounded really alarming and all 4 of us rushed out of our rooms and was greeted by a blanket of blackness. One of my block-mates opened the front door, and immediately screamed and rushed back in. We asked what happened. She said there's a fire and the smoke is so thick she couldn't see anything and couldn't breath. We quickly rushed back to our rooms wondering what to do. The toxic fumes slowly seeped into our rooms. We were suffocating. We couldn't breath. I ran to the window for some air. My entire body was shaking in fear of death.

My block-mates started packing. Taking their most important belongings with them. We were going to evacuate the place. Again, we tried pushing our way out. But again greeted by such a thick smoke we failed and rushed back in again. This time, I felt dizzy. My heart was beating really fast. I felt it was going to jump out of my chest. I felt pain in my throat and chest. I thought I was going to die. I had my precious DSLR bag on my left shoulder and my bag which contained my purse, visa & my newly bought leather jacket on my right. Those were all I thought about saving. My laptop never crossed my mind.

In the end, we braved ourselves and pushed our ways out. I could barely find a pair of sandals to wear. I was clad in my pyjamas & my leather jacket. We had difficulty as we walked to the safety exit staircase as there were plenty of broken furnitures strewned all over the corridor. I nearly tripped on one of the broken woods. The burning room was approximately 3meters away from our left door. We had to pass the burning room in order to reach to safety. The route was so narrow. I could see a few Malaysians standing in front blocking the exit looking at what was going on.

I scoffed at them thinking how ignorant they can be. They should be alerting everyone asking them to evacuate the place instead of standing there feeding on their interest. We ran down coughing and coughing with tears in our eyes. We stopped awhile to breath. Apparently no one knew about the fire other than less than 30 students in the entire building. Even the other side of the floor were sound asleep unaware of what was happening until the very next day. Imagine if the fire were to travel to the entire floor. Everyone would be burned alive in their sleep.

We ran down the stairs to safety. On the ground floor, I saw one of the victims. She was burnt pretty badly. Her coffee colored skin has turned white in most of the places. Her face, her hair, her lips, her hands, both feets were burnt as well. She was shaking badly crying softly in agony. We were to shock to do anything. We were greeted by 2 fire engines & 3 ambulances. I was relieved and glad about their efficiency in coming to the rescue. Soon the other 6 remaining victims were brought to the ambulance. 1 was brought to the ambulance by stretches. I thought something really bad has happened to her. I wondered about the condition of my room and all my belongings.

At 7am we were allowed to walk back into the hostel. We went to check our rooms. It still has the ever strong toxic fumes smell and the doors were barged open by the firemen. Electrics were cut off for the entire floor. In the end I decided to go to my friend's room for shelter which was located 1 floor above. I spent the dawn till noon there. I went back to my room to retrieve my laptop and by using my friend's wireless, I called my parents & the special one using skype. They were worried and alarmed by the situation. I wish the special one was here because I really needed a shoulder to lean on at horrible times like this.

The news about the fire has circulated all over the net. This is the 3rd fire in the hostel in the course of 7 years. I really hope we are going to be moved to another hostel before any incident occur again.

I don't know how people can write tons and tons of stuff in their blog, but my mind came empty when I stare at the blank screen. Life in Moscow has been. Well. Monotonous. You basically do the same thing every single day and when weekend comes, its when you have to decide whether you want to rot in the room or waste money and go out with your friends, have a good time and feel refreshed for the next row of weekdays to come.

Basically Final year will be quiet a breeze according to my opinion of you have patience of as solid as steel. The agony of going through 5 hours of lecture is too much for me! And like I said, I am stuck with nothing to say anymore about my life. Wait till my inspiration comes.

Sorry for the long hiatus! I was on a long holidays at Malaysia. So many things has happened and I had not have time to jot them down on this little blog of mine! But I promise more updates coming up alright!

I am back to Moscow already on the 24th August 2010. Classes are starting on the 1st Sept 2010. Can't wait! In the mean time, I am enjoying chilling and going out with my dear friends almost everyday!

Sorry for the short hiatus. Yea, I will not be blogging as often as I do in Moscow cause hehe, it's Malaysia where I am now. I will be off to Pangkor for a partying weekend! Can't wait! Hehe! =) Life has been treating me well but then again have been lacking of sleep due to the weird hours of sleeping. Mamak at 3am crazy eh?LOL. Still it was fun =) ngeeeeeee.....^^

Went and did my hair the first day I arrived KL, which cost a bomb. rm330! At Shawn Cutler, Bangsar. Love it tho. hehe. I was forced by my hairstylist to keep my hair long and silky. Guess I will be growing out my hair for 1 year!

Last post from Moscow as I will return to Malaysia tomorrow! =) Hehe. Went on my last outing with Kian before summer holidays! We are such cam-whores. Just love going out with you! Had loads of sushi + beer at Euro-Asia in Arbat before proceeding to Dunkin Donuts for desserts~ Yum yum~

And we decided to go back hostel but missed our stop. It was the best mistake ever because the metro was so photogenic with the train tracks as the background we camwhore-d even more and gotten awesome pictures! =)

Wish me luck for my last paper tomorrow and safe journey back to Tanah Air. It shall be an awesome and interesting summer I hope! =)

I just had to blog about this as well! Today, a very very old acquaintance added me in FB. Lol. Her name shall remained a secret! I was shocked that she managed to find me through FB, lol so I must say, I am glad FB's apart of my life! I remembered how I used to BULLY her like mad during primary school! I was Vice Head Prefect then and I was proud of it! I even put a half-eaten CHEWING GUM on her long hair! It got stuck there and there was nothing I could do to take it out and she was crying out loud that time. In the end, I resorted to using a pair of scissors to cut off parts of her hair that got stuck with the chewing gum. And I was so afraid she was going to report it to the Head Mistress of my EVIL DEED. Now looking back, I have no idea why I bullied her! I am so sorry my dear! Make it up to you when I see you this summer alright? Sigh, I hope you find in your heart to forgive me! =(

p/s: If you're ever going to read this, please don't seek revenge and put chewing gum on my long hair when I see you ok? Hahahaha!

Haha, I was planning on wearing my 4 inch leopard wedges but it was raining that fateful morning. Sigh, had to resort to my floral canvas shoes which was a great choice in my opinion =)

The entire batch went to get our Sudeb *forensics* Final exam results. And it was our groupmate, Eekim's birthday so we headed over to TGIF for lunch! Omg, the food was so filling but I am tired of TGIF food! No more no more!

p/s: I played the entire day yesterday and didn't even study for a bit! Went out to have a drink with my friends and we ended up coming back at 1am high and drunk! LOL. Have to buckle up for exam's coming this Friday! Jitters!

Suzdal

Hehe. 2nd last day of May. Two more days to June and by 18th I'll be back to Negara Tumpahnya Darahku =P *okay, that was lame!* Anyways, few things I need to rant about!

1. I just came back from 2 days 1 night trip to Suzdal & Vladimir which were located 3.5 hours of train ride away from Moscow. I decided last minute to join my friend although I received a strong 'No' response from my mommy when I told her I want to go away for a 2 day trip 5 days prior to final exam! Heh...But still, yea I went anyways, bringing along the notes. Did read a few times during the long ride back to back.

Conclusion: No regrets! Good experience! Heck its been a long time since I've seen such breathtaking sceneries from Mother Russia other than Moscow of course! I loved the hostel we stayed at although I was there less than 7 hours! =.= And paid a hefty 750rubles for it too! Took massive loads of pictures. Can't wait to go through them when I have the mood to and start uploading!

2. What the hell is wrong with FB? I just don't feel like logging in anymore with the image loading problems! I can't see anything interesting there! I shall just wait for the problem to be solved!

3. Still trying to study for these 3 exams before I am finally off from the 5th year medicine school! And enjoy my summer before starting my final year as a medical student...can't wait can't wait!

4. Perhaps I'll give you a sneak peak on Suzdal + Vladimir? Stay tuned!

Aih...Something bad happened last night past midnight.

My lappie suddenly went dead. Tried to restart it a few times. Unsuccessful. And that left me restless for the entire night. Can't sleep. Thinking about who to ask for help, what to do etc etc. That's how our life is in Moscow. Internet is food, Computer is life. LOL. Ironically it was pretty easy to live without my lappie for a day. Right after class, I brought it to a fellow friend for repair, he ruled it to be hard disc problem. I need to get a new one. But I only thought of buying when a friend came over at 730pm. Rushed to the computer center to buy the hard disc. ALONE. Yeshh! Haha, I am CONFIDENT about everything I do and know, except for TECH stuff! I am just a total noob when it comes to IT & computers! But yea, I decided to venture alone, and found out that the hard disc cost more than I had in my purse that time. So I went and hunt for an atm machine, but I couldn't find one! The shop was supposed to close at 9pm and by the time I actually took some cash out it was 858pm! Freaky right?

2 more minutes to closing, they were actually kind enough to wait for me. Guess my constipated face was too pitiful for them to bear. MUAHAHA.

Anyhooo, I was panting and sweating by the time I got back to the hostel, and marched towards my friend's room and yay! He finally repaired my computer in my room & things was alright back at 12am.

So there goes my 24 hours without internet/lappie day! =.=

I am currently downloading all the 'shits' stuff back in my lappie. Thank god most of my PRECIOUS pictures are in the external hard drive. Just missing a few pictures of BABY =( Don't think can retrieve them anymore!

AHHH!!!! Tomorrow will be a better day! Byeee!

Since I am thinking of jumping in LDR myself, I have to be prepared to get my heartbroken some day if the relationship does turn soup grape! Massad 2010 Preview

I love this year's Massad! It was awesome although I am still experiencing the aftermath of eating the OIL FISH which was served as the main dish for the night =( keriorrhea and not steatorrhea which I mistaken it to be. Go google if you guys don't know what it means. Anyhow, I loved both my performances although I definitely prefer our MOJOs dance =) Love you guys! As well as my 1 hit wonder song, I've got a feeling by B.E.P performed with the legend band, TESLA KOIL.

It is also the 1st massad whereby I took the LEAST pictures! I did not even take out my old digicam and I decided not to bring my dslr cause I knew I would be busy the entire night. And true enough, I was busy.

Thanks to the peeps who took pictures for me =) And for the award Top Model 2010. Haha, every year somehow I'll fall into the nominations category but never to win the title. Guess I was given the priority because I am already a senior here.

The time has come for us to march towards the fighting ground, to play with our hearts and souls, with unbreakable spirits & strengths! RSMU will be leaving to Kursk for the annual sports event tomorrow. I am feeling miraculously confident. I felt that trainings had been sufficient and totally useful. Although prior to this I always do feel that trainings were a burden and totally deprived me from my social life. Yet it totally helped me to improve tremendously. All thanks to the coaches & teammates who have been supportive. I am glad I made it through those tiring days!

Recently there have been some unpleasant conflicts surrounding the games. As usual, different universities will try to dig infos out of the other university to better prepare themselves during the games. I find that utterly disgusting.

Can't they just play for the LOVE of sports instead of focusing on only one thing, WINNING. I mean, winning is a huge deal, but to use all sorts of tactics and modes just to achieve what you want, is just not right. Eg, hurting other players. I will probably throw a fit if my teammates got injured during the game. The reason why I chose playing 2 sports which are, futsal & handball is because, I have passion and interest for both sports.

That's it.

Not because I crave for gold or fame & glory.

I seriously. really. hope that this games will be A FAIR AND JUST ONE.

RSMU is not a gangster's contingent. Please mind your words people.

The remains of the victims of the terrible terrorist attack after the forensic examination were sent to the morgue.

In Lubyanka metro at 7.52 am on March 29 a huge explosion occurred, killing 24 people, injuring dozens.
Suicide bomber's body was torn into small pieces. However, her head and leg were still intact. These parts of the body can help to identify the terrorist.

At 8.37 am at the station "Park Kultury", another bomb exploded - killing 13 people.

- The first explosion occurred at a time when the train doors opened, people began to leave, and others entering the car - told Life News police officer, visited the place of attack.
- I was in a nearby car when the explosion occurred - told the passenger of the Red Arrows, blasted the "Lubyanka. - The doors of the neighboring car literally puke out. At least 15 people were killed immediately.

The Day for attack chosen by bandits have been a challenging one. March 29 Russia began Holy Week - the last Week before Easter.
The bomb destroyed the 2 nd and 3rd cars with head composition. The bomb was in the second car.

- I was driving to work in a nearby car with the one in which there was an explosion - says a native of Chelyabinsk Julia Tarasevich. - Just at the entrance to the platform there was commotion, the train stopped, then it started moving slowly to the station. Everyone in the carriage started panicking: Doors were jammed and we had to opened the doors by force. When the crowd pushed me onto the platform, I saw my bloody foot. In the end, I was sent to hospital № 13.

- Blast Wave went into the third coach in the first, the ceiling, on the sides and out - told Life News source in law enforcement. - Train driver was also injured. He is in shock, but no serious injuries. The bomb was packed with chopped pieces of reinforcement. We also know that it is likely to set in motion using a mobile phone - at the scene found batteries and scraps of wire. Most of the victims were in the second car. Also killed a man standing in a third car next to a glass door.

Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and the head of Internal Affairs of Moscow Vladimir bells came to the site of explosion.
- Most of the wounded are in critical condition - told Life News physicians.

According to preliminary data, it was a powerful bomb stuffed with steel balls in motion suicide bomber.

We had our party last Friday with lots of fun, laughter and tasty delicacies. All of us had to cook 1 dish each.As for myself, I cooked Sweet sour fish which turned out to be a success =) Pictures up above.I am glad that Gila Bola happened even though it was so last minute,  and us having a hard time digging for members to play. The team was formed 2 days  prior to MIC cup without any prior practice and all of us are new to  each other.

Congrats to us for being the 1st runner up and getting the best defender trophy =) 

ZONA revived

Went Clubbing for the 1st time this year. We went to the old place named 'ZONA', a 3 story building multi-club house which has a 'prison-like' architecture. I decided to go namely because of several reasons:

1. It has been a DARN long time since I clubbed.

2. It was a good end to a horrible cycle, ENT. I finished my finals on the same day itself.

3. Just felt like grooving.

Anyways, coincidentally, Hao called me that night asking me if I wanted to go. Not bothered with the fact that I was the ONLY one from my UNI who was enthusiastic about going, I left the hostel premise at 11pm alone and headed to the metro. Met the bunch around 12am and we walked to the club house.

Conclusion: It was fun and sweaty though it's a little boring towards the end. I learned how to shuffle! XD We chilled till 6am and took the metro back home.

One thing changes everything

Ever wonder how just a tiny little defect can change the entire scenario? I don't, until I see it with my own eyes. 

For example: 

A harmless tube-ride at the opposite park ended up being a freak incident and the victim suffers from concussion, and an injured knee. You end up being hospitalized for over a week and missing those important classes at the last years of your education, surviving those torturous nights on the creaky hospital bed. Imagine the victim being your acquaintance.

A seemingly innocent, gorgeous noon strolling at the park at the peak your vacation and you suddenly got attacked by a thieving motorcyclist. You belongings taken brutally from you, including your personal identifications. You ended up with a losing your cash, going through the hassle of reporting at the police station, applying for a one-way visa, buying the next available flight ticket back and ended up with a large hole in your pocket. Worst of all, you miss almost a month of your classes because of the complicated procedures needed to be done to get your passport and visa done at your home country.

Imagine the person being you. It's hard ain't it. I guess we just need to take good care of ourselves and a sense of hope that we don't end up with the same fate.

p/s: I don't mean to hurt the ones who were mentioned here, just wanted to show you my view about these unpredictable misfortunes. It scares me. It scares me a lot.

Snows starting to melt. Spring's coming and then summer. That's when Love blooms. Love reigns. It's always the fresh air of summer that makes that few months the human mating season. Recently I started seeing the chance to fall in love again. To be loved and to love in return. Mixed feelings started tumbling down on me. Feeling excited, happy yet at the same time doubtful and paranoid. I so want to make this work, I think I fussed too much about it.

I need to distract myself for a while. I need to stop dreaming about his charm and beauty. Just go with the flow. Stop thinking about whether it will work, how it will work, and how I want it to work. All I can do is wait and if he's the right one, he shall be.

21st February 1987. The day Amyksy was born. 21st February 2010, she officially turns 23! I don't know why, but I have a great feeling about this year. Success and happiness are within arm's reach. Graduating in 1.5 years time. Being loved by my family, and having close friends that care for me. I had the best birthday parties ever this year. With triple celebrations to break the previous records. I hope the ones who attended the party enjoyed as much as I do despite some minor problems :))

It was Autopsy day today. The 2nd class of Forensics Medicine. It was an eye opener. Something pretty new to us 5th year Medical students. It was a sudden death for the 27 year old Russian male. No significant injuries on the external except for the injection wound on his left cubital fossa. A few self-made tattoos can be seen scattered all over his body. He is of stout build approximately 6' tall and 180lbs. Rigor mortis. Our teacher opened up his skull, his trunk and we examined the organs one by one. The stench was bearable much to our surprise. He was dead less than 12 hours based on our findings. The body was cold. His liver was 3 times the normal size and weight. So is the spleen. The lungs black due to smoking. Massive bleeding of internal organs.We pre-diagnosed him to have died due to Intoxication. Diagnosis can only be confirmed with the results of blood and urine samples as well as tiny slices of important organs such as the liver, spleen and stomach for microscopic examinations.

A night of rock and roll on the day our finals ended. It was unbelievably amazing. Had so much fun and the company was great as well. It was a students hang out joint so drinks were very affordable.Had to take a cab straight home at 4am as Eekim had to leave for an early flight 2 hours later. Talk about hectic.

I know I have never been one of the more likeable person in RSMU. And I think I know why.

Few reasons:

1. Apparently, MY BLOG, the place where I can write whatever I want, post ANY pictures I want, basically just do whatever I want with it, is a source of entertainment for those lifeless, couch potatoes who does nothing other than surfing the net 24/7, planting their butts on their smelly chairs or bed every day for the past years they have been here.

They say I love to put tons and tons of pictures in my blog and my facebook profile. And 90% are imprinted with my face. This ticks them off. Hello, it's called Missamyksy for a reason ain't it? It's my domain.

Now I ask them back, 'If you hate my face so much, why bother coming here in the first place? Nobody's pointing a gun at your forehead forcing you click www.amykor.blogspot.com every day ain't it?' Thanks for adding the stats for me though. Highly appreciate it.

2. They call me FAKE. I really have no idea why. I asked a fellow friend of mine. He gave me this reason. When guys are together, it's all about mannerism. Since you are so vain, basically people will assume you are FAKE.

I was dumbfounded. Since when a person is vain, he/she is categorized as a faker? I am as realistic as a person can be. I don't do plastic surgeries. I don't go around flirting with repulsive male creatures in the hostel.

Just because someone has some confidence, and well, is vain *I admit I am*, doesn't make them fake.

If you guys really hate amykor, there's a simple solution to this.

1. Delete/ block me off FACEBOOK. (I don't mind losing a couple of friends in list. Have one too many anyways.)

2. Stop bookmarking my blog in your internet browser dang it!

p/s: Stop being a hypocrite if you claim you hate people who bitch, when you're doing the same thing. Being in denial is not healthy.
